Yeah… Madagascar is in the list of the “44 Places to Go in 2009” according to New York Times magazine. Madagascar is the 38th country they advised.
I am feeling glad and proud with this list, especially because they have choosen my lovely country (DagoTiako yeah).
For those who plan to spend few days (or more, or even the entire life) here in Madagascar, you will not be disapointed with the tropical climate, the food (we have delicious tropical fruits and vegetables here), the fauna and the flora, … I am sure that you will exceptionaly appreciate the warm and nice welcoming Malagasy people.
Madagascar is a big island. The landscapes vary with the region you go. So wherever you go, to the North, South, East, West, you will always discover new things, and only beauty.
Here in Antananarivo, the Capital city, you can visit the Kings and Queens’ Palaces, the garden of Andohalo which has been recently renewed by The Commune Urbaine d’Antananarivo and L’Ile de France, the zoo of Tsimbazaza, Croc’Farm… I would personnaly advice a place not to miss: a nice zoo in Ambohimanga where you can feed the lemurs (which are, for those who don’t know, endemic and only found in Madagascar).
A lot of exciting adventures and wonderful discoveries are waiting for you here in Madagascar: lovely beaches, wild forests, rocks and mountains…
I will let you enjoy the pics.

I also invite you to go to Moma’s blog where he brings you to Tamatave, the East coast of Madagascar.

Madagascar deserves such listing. Even if we do not have enough infrastructure yet, Madagascar has still kept some parts of its initial beauty. It shows how important is the protection of environment.
